Congratulations on your impending arrival! What a wonderful and magical time especially if it's your first baby! I remember how excited but overwhelmed I felt.

As a mom of 3 children, born over the last 3 1/2 years, I have spent countless hours in practically every baby store in the Washington area. I recall being 5 1/2 months pregnant with my first and standing in the parking lot of a large baby store feeling stressed out by how much there was to buy and do. Add to that working full time and then having to go on bedrest — I was at my wits end!

I have worked for the past 11 years as a speech language pathologist at George Washington University Hospital and the National Rehabilitation Hospital. I graduated from James Madison University and have a Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I live in Bethesda with my husband and three children (ages 4 1/2, 3, and 1).
